2013: PALANCA GUIDELINES!

From Ma’am Sagucio:

*“Doing palanca is a tradition of the Cursillo movement, and it has become a highly valued tradition for our retreats. Palanca is the Spanish word for “winch” or “crank.” It means strategically applying a small effort in order to produce a great lifting power. “Doing palanca,” then, is a special way of praying that is used to assist people making a major spiritual effort. It is prayer with an action component.”
The Palanca Ietter should reveal your prayer for your batch mate. The letter should have the character of a love letter, affirming what is beautiful in your batch mate. You are encouraged, therefore, to invest a lot of time and thought into this opportunity. It can do great things for your relationship with your batch mates.
Kindly put your letter in an envelope, seal it, and write your receiver’s FULL NAME outside.
*(lifted and modified from a letter by the PCORI)
You may write as many letters as you can and submit the letters to any of the Batch 2013 student council on or before the following deadlines:

October 3- HR Time
October 4- 4.30 pm (@ the Faculty Center)
Thank you and have fun making your palancas! :)
